Next Steps

At Ignite, we believe that church is more than just attending worship services on Sunday mornings. Our desire is for you to become an active part of our church by taking intentional steps to get involved. We encourage everyone at Ignite to take these steps to make Ignite Church your home. Each is designed to help you connect with others, grow in your faith, and fully participate in the life and mission of Ignite Church.

Discover Ignite

Make Ignite Church your home

Discover Ignite is the starting point for anyone new to our church—or even for regular attenders who want to learn more about our mission, beliefs, and ministries. In this relaxed and informative session, you’ll meet some of our leaders, learn about our church’s story, and have the opportunity to ask questions about what matters most to you.

Offered the second Sunday of every month, this is a 60-minute class, led by two of our elders. Visit the sign-ups page to sign up for the next Discover Ignite Class.

Baptism

Publicly declare your faith in Jesus

Baptism is an ordinance given by Jesus to the church in which a believer is immersed in water as a public sign of their union with Christ. Through baptism, a person symbolically participates in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus, showing that their old life has ended and they have been raised to new life through faith in Him. It serves both as a public profession of faith and as a mark of identification with Christ and His people, the church.

If you want to learn more about baptism, need help deciding if you should be baptized, or you are ready to be baptized, complete our baptism form to take your next step. If you have any questions or want more information about baptism and membership, you can read our Baptism and Membership FAQs.

Membership

Join Ignite Church

Becoming a member means entering into a covenant relationship with fellow believers, committing to help one another follow Jesus faithfully. Membership is more than simply attending services—it’s a commitment to love, encourage, and support each other. By joining, our church affirms your profession of faith and offers you assurance as you follow Jesus, in effect saying, “You look like a Christian to us. Join us. Watch over our lives, and we’ll watch over yours as we follow Jesus together.” As a member, you also come under the caring oversight of Ignite’s elders, who are dedicated to guiding, protecting, and providing pastoral care for every member of the church.

The first step to becoming a member is to attend a Discover Ignite Class. After the class you’ll have an opportunity to schedule a meeting with an elder for us to hear how the Lord saved you, confirm that you understand the meaning of membership at Ignite, establish care, answer questions, and help you get connected to our ministries.

Groups

Grow Faith. Build Relationships

Believers are called to walk alongside one another, encouraging, supporting, and helping each other follow Jesus. That's why we prioritize meeting together in groups throughout the week. We offer two kinds of groups to help you grow deeper in your faith and build meaningful relationships—each with a different format and focus.

  • Life Groups meet weekly with 10-20 people to form meaningful relationships and apply Sunday’s sermon together in community.
  • Discipleship Groups are gender-specific groups of 3-5 people meeting weekly for deep, intentional discipleship.

Visit the Groups page to learn more and find a group to join.

Serve

Volunteer on a ministry team

Every follower of Jesus is called to serve others. In the Gospels, Jesus calls His followers to serve others, reminding us that He “came not to be served but to serve” (Mark 10:45). Each of us has unique gifts, and using them is both a command from Christ and an invitation to meaningful, lasting work (Col 3:23–24; 1 Pet 4:10–11). Serving gives us a practical way to put our faith into action, bless others, and display God’s glory within the church and to the world.

We encourage everyone at Ignite to regularly volunteer on a ministry team. Are you wondering where to begin? We encourage you to start simply, but simply start! Click here to view our serving opportunities and sign up to serve on a ministry team.
