Outreach

Creating and cultivating opportunities to share jesus' love and forgiveness with the church and our community

Our Vision

Helping Ignite Church impact the world by equipping everyday people to humbly serve and share Jesus wherever they live, work, and gather.

(Galatians 5:13–14, Philippians 2:3–8, Psalm‬ ‭40‬:‭‭9‬-‭10‬)

What We Do

Through relational events and practical equipping, we help turn Sunday encounters into everyday impact—bridging the gap between church and community, and helping every believer share the truth and love of Jesus wherever they live, work, and gather.

Each year, we host 4–5 strategic events designed to engage, invite, and equip. Here’s what that looks like:

  • Community Movie Night - We open the doors of our building—formerly an old movie theater—and welcome the community in for a free movie, popcorn, and soda. It’s a simple, fun way to share joy and build relationships.
  • For Our City - A church-wide serve day where we partner with local organizations to clean up, beautify, and bless our city. From yard work to food banks, we show up to serve however we’re needed.
  • Young Adult Brunch - Since our church is packed with college students, we love to host a free, delicious brunch that says, “You belong here.” It’s a favorite and is always full!
  • Community Cookout - A parking lot party with free food, live music, and an ice cream truck. It’s all about building community and creating an atmosphere of joy and connection.
  • Gospel Conversation Class - This class helps equip our members to engage relationally and confidently share the hope of Jesus in everyday conversations.

Join the Team

We’re growing—and we need passionate, dependable people to help lead the way. We’re currently recruiting in two key areas:

  1. Planners - Love organizing? Gifted in logistics? We need detail-oriented minds to bring our events to life.
  2. Visionaries & Activators - Love people? Good at inviting and inspiring others? Help us mobilize the church and create momentum around outreach initiatives.

Team Expectations:

  • Attend monthly Outreach Team meetings
  • Help plan and serve at events
  • Stay connected through the Church Center app
  • Commit to one year of serving

Be a First Call Volunteer

Want to help with outreach events—but not ready to join the full planning team?

Join our First Call list!

First Call Volunteers are the first people we reach out to when it’s time to set up, serve, or support one of our big events. You won’t need to attend planning meetings—just be ready to jump in and make things happen when the day comes.

This is perfect for you if you:

  • Love serving, but can’t commit to regular meetings
  • Want to stay in the loop and be available when you can
  • Enjoy being part of a team that makes events happen

We’ll give you clear info, roles, and times—so you can show up and serve with confidence.

“Serve one another humbly in love.” — Galatians 5:13

Life Groups

In Life Groups, our large church feels small as we form deep, meaningful relationships and apply Sunday’s sermon together in community.
Based on Acts 2:42, these groups focus on four essential elements:

  • Teaching - Weekly sermon-based discussion
  • Fellowship - Building meaningful relationships
  • Breaking of Bread - Sharing meals to facilitate unity and break down barriers
  • Prayer - Bringing our requests, praises, and concerns before God

What to Expect:

  • Generally 10–20 people
  • Meet weekly in homes
  • Run in 12-week semesters (Spring, Summer, and Fall)
  • Led by trained leaders who love the Bible and people
  • Open to everyone (except gender-specific groups)
  • Focus on practical application of Sunday’s sermon

Discipleship Groups

In Discipleship Groups (D-Groups), we focus on deep, biblical discipleship in a gender-specific setting of 3-5 people. Based on Matthew 28:18-20, these groups are designed to help believers fulfill the Great Commission through intentional discipleship. Every member will be challenged to grow in these four areas:

  • Spiritual Disciplines - Reading and memorizing Scripture, praying, and journaling
  • Personal Holiness - Growing in Christ-like character and spiritual maturity
  • Meaningful Accountability - Having authentic conversations about sin, struggles, and growth
  • Deep Discipleship - Actively helping each other follow Jesus

What to Expect

  • Weekly meeting with 3–5 believers for one year
  • Members commit to group expectations upfront
  • Leader organizes, but all members actively disciple
  • Gender-specific groups for deeper accountability
  • Annual group multiplication, releasing disciples to make more disciples
Whether you sing or play an instrument we encourage you to apply for the Worship Team.
