Our Story

We launched our very first weekend service at the Safari Theater in Moorhead, MN with eighty seven people in attendance. Our mission then and now is that people would Encounter God, and Impact the World.

We made it a priority to launch Life Groups quickly, because people need a space outside of our Worship Services where they can Grow Faith and Build Relationships.

Generosity is one of the core values of our church. We want to be generous in our community and support local non-profits who share our values and motivations. Every time someone visits Ignite Church for the second time we donate $10 to a local non-profit.

We recognized that people need practical teaching and examples for how to live out their faith in their daily lives, so we launched Foundations Classes to help all people build a biblical foundation in the areas of Faith, Family, and Finance.

We love Fargo/Moorhead! Every December we pick a Sunday to reverse our time of offering. Our church actually takes money out of the offering buckets, combines that money with their typical tithing for the week, and gives that money away in their local community.

We believe that every people group and community needs a healthy church. We began, and continue, to multiply churches  and congregations because the message of Jesus brings hope to the world. We know that where Jesus is presented, lives are changed.
